Cleared out the Spiderwebs
I finally put together the quilt top made up of blocks sewn by the great group of sewers in the Pieced Together Quilting Bee. I wound up making 2 1/2 blocks due to a few of the blocks being a different size. The remaining 2 blocks will be showcased on the pieced back of the quilt or maybe as a pillow (as suggested by a fellow swapper). I think it's going to be great. I love it so far. I am not sure what I am going to do for the binding or quilting. Any thoughts?

I like it. I always think those types of quilts look cool! I would probably do a pieced binding that matches some of the colors in the quilt. As for quilting...not my area of expertise but I would probably free motion it!
ReplyDeleteGreat work Sara! How about a swirl in the colored parts and maybe a simple stipple in the white?
ReplyDeleteWell done! The red is really sticking out for me in the picture, that's probably what I'd pick for a binding.
ReplyDeleteI would use a bright color like red or orange. It looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful! I like red for binding too - it would frame it nicely, for quilting. . . whatever you work out will be great!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful!!! I think you should pick out your favorite color from the quilt and use that for the binding.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteMy idea for your binding : take 4 different color from the quilt for binding each of 4 sides. It would be colorful and cheery :)
Wow, that turned out really well!
